Because the blades are stamped rather than forged the price is kept reasonable, yet the high-carbon, stainless steel is extremely durable and the ground, tempered edges maintain their razor-sharpness for a considerable length of time. The molded polypropylene handles provide a sure grip, have no grooves or rivets to harbor bacteria, and are dishwasher-safe. All in all, the knives are lightweight, very sharp, and designed to slice through meat with ease. Wow these knives are awsome. September 3, 2010
I just spent $1000 on some very nice Wusthof knives then ran out of money for a good steak knife set so I bought these to hold me over for the mean time. The reviews are what prompted try them. So last night I opened the package picked up the knife and laughed at the quality. For me the knives look and feel cheap, but hey their $30 for 6 knives. I then grabbed a lime and I kid you not it cut the lime like it wasn't even there. I can't speak for any long term use but so far I'm very impressed with my $30 purchase.

When other reviews said these knives were sharp, they weren't kidding! They're not as heavy as I would have liked, but they are right for the price. I use them as paring knives, as well as steak knives. Did I mention they are SHARP? Please keep them out of the reach of children and knife challenged husbands.

They are Definitely sharp...but not very expensive feeling...the handles are plastic (I think). they look like those knifes that you get on TV commercials....but feel a bit more sturdy....they work rather well and have not stained or gotten rusty looking. I have owned them now for 3 months and so far so good! They do their job very well.
