NOT Just a Rag February 2, 2010 John N. Schear (Roanoke, Virginia United States) A rag is simply a rag but these are mops of the best and highest quality. Why bother wiping liquid and having to go over it again? Nonsense. One swipe and it's over. Next spill, please. The size is just right to fit in a normal to hefty hand and what I like most is their durability. This is my second set and I hope to see them last as well as the first set. One aside: my paper towel usage drops when I use these and that is important to a pair of old, poor folks.
Bottom Line: Great value and well worth the cost and will absolutely buy again.
better than nothing, but not by much December 3, 2009 Kunsthandler (Eastbay, California) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Is it so hard to create and market a decent, simple product as a cooking towel/bar mop in this country? Is it relying too much on rocket science to expect quality and practical packaging?
These aren't bad, if you overlook the small size and the packaging that pulls threads when you try to separate them. Who came up with this? CAN THE IDIOT WHO CAME UP WITH THIS PACKAGING!
For ten bucks I'd expect at least the standard 13"X14" bar moop.
Wrong. Who sells a decent working hand towel these days? I've been using bar mops instead of paper towels for over twenty-five years, and have saved hundreds of dollars doing so. Who sells a professional quality hand towel? PLEAE point me in the right direction....
Low quality cloth snags, unravels November 16, 2009 Nicodemus (Seattle, WA) Like other reviewers, I was disappointed by the quality of these towels. The cloth is lightweight and thin so that it doesn't absorb as much as a regular towel. Even worse, the thread in the hems came loose on the very first washing for several of them. They do shrink but that's normal for natural fiber.
Even though these aren't expensive, I expected something a little better for the money. My advice would be to spend a bit more and get dish towels that will last through the wash.
These are great October 9, 2009 Jessica Karas (Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use these as every day dish clothes. Here's my advice...buys tons so you feel free to go through a couple a day (especially if you are a stay at home mom with a couple of pre-schoolers). I use a ton for everything in the kitchen, then soak them in a bucket with oxy clean powder before adding them to my white load. They stay looking great that way. I used to buy colored wash clothes to hide the stains, but didn't feel comfortable with them because I couldn't bleach them (to sanitize)...I've finally found the perfect product and the perfect method.
Falling apart on 1st wash September 13, 2008 majax79 (FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not much to say other than the outer thread has come off on a few of them after the 1st wash. The texture is awful as well. They make your hands feel rough. There's a reason they're so cheap.
I would not recommend this product.
