O.k., first I love the way they look even though they are not real leather. However, they have a really strong plastic smell to them.
I give it 4 stars because I've had to air them out for 2 months before they could actually be used.

THE MURPHY FAMILY (ALASKA)
We recentely purchased new furniture and wanted a leather look for the placemat's. These mats are perfect so easy to clean I have 4 children and was worried that the stitching would stain. It doesn't! We use Murphy's oil soap to clean our table and the mats and they look great. They look and feel like real leather for a fraction of the price. They also shipped to Alaska FREE By Fed X. We couldn't be happier and recommend these mats to anyone who want's to add a expensive,yet durable look to their dinner table.

When my husband was purchasing them, he didn't realize they were not real leather.
Other than that, they look nice, match our decorum, are exactly what he wanted, and he is very happy about the way they look.
They had a strong plastic odor when we took them out of the bags at first, but after a couple of days it went away.
